Senior Leader
Programme details

Overview

In today's increasingly competitive and internationally interconnected world more is needed of aspiring leaders than management skills.

"86% of senior managers and directors admit to feeling insecure in critical situations."

Management skills can be bought in easily by an employer. But good leadership abilites are much rarer and are consequently valued much more highly.

Benefits

Research by the Nobel Prize-winner James Heckman has shown that character and leadership abilities are distinctly greater determiners of how successful a person will be in his or her career than any number of paper qualifications.

This programme equips participants with an essential understanding of what it means to be a good leader - above and beyond pure management skills - through the medium of case studies and role-playing.

Participants can expect to be challenged to think about critical situations a leader has to face, the consequences of their course of actions, and the decision making process of a good leader.

Topics

Experience is an expensive teacher. The problem with learning by experience is that you learn the hard way - and give your competitors the advantage.

  • Role-play common critical situations as leader and as follower.

  • Study situational awareness and dynamic responses.

  • Learn to run the ethical minefield.

  • Develop leadership strategies for complex major projects.

  • Understand the hard structures that underlie the most valuable soft skillls.

  • The best leaders continue to learn after the programme is completed. Discover further opportunities for self-development that will help you continue to grow and maintain your position at the top of your game.

Who should attend?

We welcome applicants from private and public sector clients as well as academics and entrepreneurs.

The programme is designed to improve awareness of essential traits of the most successful leaders in the world.

The programme will be of especial benefit to line managers and technical/research leads looking to transition into senior leadership roles.

The ausbildungs journey is open to anyone genuinely interested in taking leadership development to the highest level, however some basic knowledge is advantageous:

  • Evidence of professional development over and above a university degree (e.g. chartership, post-graduate research).

  • Successful track record with evidence of having made a difference by your presence.

  • An agenda for improvement.

  • Confident fluency in written and spoken English.*

* English language tuition including IELTS and PET is available through our partner site Top School Tutoring.

Dates and fees?

The programme fee is £3599. VAT is included in the price.

The fee includes all instruction, materials and service costs as well as a black tie dinner at the end of the programme.

Travel and accommodation are not included.
